#BioreBakingSoda Product Reviews

I was really excited to learn about Influenster at the end of 2015, from my friend, and skincare queen, Rachal, and I quickly became a member. It’s an app where you review all your favourite (and not so favourite) products, fill out surveys, and hopefully get picked to review products that are sent to you. At first I was just super into gaining points, but was pleasantly surprised after only being on the app for a few weeks, that I was picked to do my first review!

A few weeks later I received my first Influenster Voxbox, which was the Biore Baking Soda products. The bright green Biore box arrived in my mailbox, and I was so excited to get started. They sent me the Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub and the Biore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser, with the promise that baking soda was my new secret weapon!

The Biore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser is a gel consistency with little beads. Biore says this is safe to use daily (and I have been!), and will penetrate deep into pores to give a deep clean that is exfoliating, but without being rough. I really like this gel cleanser. I think it has a really pleasant scent to it, it gently exfoliates my skin, it helps take off all my makeup, and it leaves my skin glowing and squeaky clean. I would recommend this as a good everyday cleanser, but it is pretty basic. While it cleaned my face well, there are no bells and whistles. Which is okay, sometimes you just need a good old fashion clean. I believe the Cleanser retails for around $6.99 for 200mL.

The Biore Baking Soda Cleaning Scrub is a new concept for me. You pour a quarter-sized amount onto your hand and work water into it to form a paste/foam before applying to your skin. The scrub was very gentle as it dissolves, but I still felt like it did a great job at breaking down my makeup. You’re safe to use this scrub on your face 2-3 times a week, and I’ve personally been using it twice a week. I love the packaging on this, you push a little button to open the top, so it feels secure for travel or just keeping in your bathroom without making a mess. Of the two products I’d be more inclined to purchase this one again. This Scrub is something I have never tried before and I really like the idea of it foaming up and exfoliating the makeup off my skin. I believe the Scrub retails for around $9.99 for 128g.

I really enjoyed trying out some new skin care products as my go-to purchases are typically makeup related. These products were nice, and I’d be happy to recommend them to a friend. I’m not sure that I would rush back out to repurchase once these are finished. But I am enjoying them for the time being and am happy I got a chance to try them out!

Squeaky clean!

A big thanks to Influenster for sending the Biore products to me. I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

I’m just winging it. My life, my eyeliner, everything!
