MILK Makeup Luminous Blur Stick Primer

I’ve wanted to try something from MILK Makeup for about a year now. All of a sudden they were booming in Sephora, and all the rage on YouTube and Instagram. I kept seeing these clear tubes, with colourful makeup inside, and wanted to buy something. But honestly, nothing REALLY jumped out to make me pick it up. Well, god bless Influenster for hooking a sister up, because I’m the proud new owner of the MILK Makeup Luminous Blur Stick Primer.

Most of MILK’s products come in these little tubes, which I think is really genius. The packaging is cool, it’s eye catching, and of course you want to try it. I read online that MILK wanted to target their brand towards people who liked to do their makeup quickly. They wanted their easy packaging to encourage people to use their hands and fingers. Theres tons of different primer sticks, but the one I received promises a luminous glow!

To be honest, the glow isn’t all that amazing. The MILK Makeup Luminous Blur Stick Primer provides a very soft sheen on the skin, but once I put my foundation on, it is no longer visible. I would say this is great for people wanting to add glow to the skin, but who don’t use foundation, therefore won’t cover it up.

I do think this blurred out my pores, and created an even base on my nose/cheek region. However, I have a line in my forehead that I tried to “blur” out, and this product kind of gunked up in it, and I noticed it later in the day creating a weird line.

As for it being a primer, I did not notice that my foundation stayed on longer, or lasted better than with any of my other primers. I think I really didn’t notice any difference, with any foundation I tested.

All in all, would I recommend the MILK Makeup Luminous Blur Stick Primer? My answer is sadly no. The price tag on this primer stick is $43/Cdn, and I just don’t see my self grabbing it all that often. Some of their stick products come in a travel size for $17, so I would recommend trying that size first. Especially since they will last forever, you don’t need much!

Have you tried the MILK Makeup Luminous Blur Stick Primer? Do you like any of MILK’s other products? Tell me in the comments!

I’m just winging it. My life, my eyeliner, everything!
