Today is Easter, and it’s officially Spring! I am so excited, I love when the weather gets warmer, the days get sunnier, and the colours get brighter. Spring colours are my favourite, the pinks, oranges, yellows, and turquoises always catch my eye. Today I want to share my top pink picks for the season!
I am completely obsessed with the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polish. I stumbled across this polish only because it was on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart, and now I’m in love with many of the colours, the clear coat, the brush and the formula! It dries honestly in about 1 minute, it goes on smoothly, and the brush is so fat that in two swipes your nail is fully covered. The polish comes in tons of colours, and is $6.99/Cdn per bottle. This colour, Pink Blink, is the perfect pop of pink this spring!
I got this smaller sized Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in the shade Magic as part of the Sephora Black Friday sale last year, and I love the colour of it. Tarte blushes are extremely popular and for good reason. They are soft and apply nicely on the skin, they are long lasting, and come in an abundance of colours. I think Magic is a great colour to add to your spring makeup look.
If you’re a YouTube addict like me, you’ve heard of Milani Cosmetics Baked Blush in Luminoso. Every YouTuber raves about this blush, so when I was in Florida last time, I popped into a CVS store to grab one. They retail for $8.99/US and are amazing! At first I wasn’t totally blown away by this product, but I realized I wasn’t using the best brush for it. Now I am using a denser Ulta Buffing Brush, and it applies the perfect flush of colour to my cheeks. If you’re looking for a slightly shimmery pink colour that will compliment tanned skin, Luminoso is the blush for you this season!
I love Cremesheen formulas from MAC Cosmetics. They glide on your lips smoothly and feel really moisturizing, almost like a tinted lip balm. I am loving this shade, Fanfare, for the spring. It’s a great rosy pink colour and just adds a slight tint to my lips. What I also love about this shade is it looks great when you add a lipgloss over top of it. This will be my go-to lipstick for spring! Fanfare Cremesheen Lipstick is available at MAC Cosmetics for $21/Cdn.
I saw that Sephora was doing a giveaway of the new Tarte Creamy Matte Lip Paint in the shade Namaste if you purchased $25 or more on their site, so naturally I placed an order. I didn’t think this colour was going to be for me, but I was wrong, I love it! Its a light peachy nude, and the formula is very mousse-y and comfortable to apply. I absolutely love the colour and the formula, and I will be purchasing a full-size once I’m finished this mini tube!
More of the Anastasia Beverly Hills products are starting to hit the shelves at Sephora here in Canada and I couldn’t be happier! I would see all my favourite YouTubers rave about these products, but I wasn’t ready to spend money on an American website if I couldn’t return. I noticed that the Anastasia Lip Glosses were finally on Sephora.ca so I made an order! I chose the shade Dainty, $21/Cdn, which is a neutral baby pink, with really great pigment. This lipgloss is amazing, and I’m looking to pick up more shades, the colour comes out so beautifully, it’s not sticky, and is such a pretty colour.
My last pick for Spring is something I got this weekend, and am super excited to wear. My mama bear gave me MAC’s Cremesheen Glass Lipgloss in Floating Lotus. This gloss is great to add a soft touch of sparkly pink to your lips, or add on top of a lipstick for high shine! I know I will be using this everyday, it feels great on your lips, isn’t sticky, and the perfect pink for Spring!
