September & October Empties

It’s that time of the month! No, not that time of the month. It’s time to chat products I’ve used up, it’s time for September & October Empties! Yes, I accidentally forgot to do September, so I’m collabing for the month and you get two-in-one! I love writing about my empties (don’t miss June, July, August here!) So, on to the good stuff!

September & October Empties

Garnier Micellar Water – This is probably my 3rd bottle and I’ve only tried the Garnier version. It’s such an amazing product that removes makeup and cleanses your skin, leaving your face feeling refreshed! I use a makeup wipe to get my makeup off, then finish off with this (especially eye makeup!) I buy the Garnier Micellar Water at Shoppers for $10-12/Cdn.

Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer – I was lucky enough to get this at Generation Beauty last year, and it took me AWHILE to finish. Not because it wasn’t a great product, but because I have so many concealers, that it’s tough to finally finish one (first world problems!) I really enjoyed this concealer; not super full coverage, but created a nice brightened finish, and it smelt amazing! I would recommend this if you’re a fan of Too Faced products, and are looking to try something new! You can purchase at Sephora for $32/Cdn.

Olay Age Defying Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream – Waking up on my 26th birthday something clicked, and I decided it was time to start really hydrating my skin. I rushed over to Shoppers (too scared to commit to anything too pricey) and I found this cream. I used this everyday for about a year and a half, and it finally bit the dust last month. It did a pretty good job (as far as I could tell??) but I wanted to purchase something a little more expensive this time around. If you’re a beginner, I say why not try this? It was around $12/Cdn at Shoppers.

L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation – Everyone RAVED about the regular True Match foundation 3 years ago. After 2 hours my face was greasier than a bucket of chicken, and I threw it out. Next product rage: the cushion foundation. Finally I decided to cave and pick this up at CVS in Florida. I love how easily it applied (both on my face and on to my brush!) It’s not insane coverage, but does a great job at evening out your complexion. I didn’t use it too often, which is why it took so long to finish. I would recommend this to young girls starting out with makeup since it was such a no brainer! These foundations are around $20/Cdn at Shoppers.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara – I don’t need to talk TOO much about this product as I did a review about it back in June, you can read that here! But I did really love this mascara, and would highly recommend grabbing one. It lasted all summer, is a great price, and makes my lashes look amazing. This mascara retails for around $15/Cdn at Shoppers.

NYX Matte Liquid Liner – I have definitely talked about this liner in “empties blogs” in the past, I can’t even tell you how many I’ve been through – maybe 5? The brush is easy to handle, it’s super dark black, matte, and lasts ALL day. It’s the perfect liquid liner, and of course I have a new one on the go already ($10/Cdn at Shoppers or NYX stores).

Now on to samples!

Too Faced Hangover Face Primer – I received this little sample from one of my orders on Sephora.com, and I was really excited to try it. Not only did it smell amazing, it really hydrated my face and helped my makeup last longer throughout the day. I would definitely pick up a full size of this primer ($40/Cdn).

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation – I wasn’t really interested in trying this foundation as I have so many already in my collection, but it was another sample when ordering off Sephora, so I added it to my cart. Firstly, shout out to Too Faced for giving such an amazing sized sample. I was able to get 4 or 5 wears out of this mini bottle and guess what – I loved it! I would consider purchasing a full size bottle (for $49/Cdn).

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum – I love First Aid Beauty Intense Hydration Cream, so was really curious to try this serum. It was REALLY nice. I loved how hydrated my face felt, even by the time I woke up the next morning. It retails for $45/Cdn, which I think is a great price for a serum, I would recommend!

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara – This is another product that I had FOREVER. I didn’t love it for my upper lashes, but I really loved the way it made my lower lashes look. The mascara gave them nice length, and also made them dark enough so they didn’t take over my entire eye-look. This mascara retails for $30/Cdn. I don’t think its necessary to have a high-end bottom lash mascara, so unfortunately won’t be purchasing a full size.

That’s it for my September & October Empties. I was a big fan of most of these products, and will continue to repurchase or try full sizes. What have you just finished and either loved or hated?!

I’m just winging it. My life, my eyeliner, everything!
