Happy April 1st, y’all! I have something exciting to share, and it’s not an April Fools joke! It’s the newly released Smashbox Cosmetics Crystalized Collection! The Smashbox Cosmetics Crystalized Collection is in partnership with Bri Luna, the founder of the
First things first… the packaging. The Smashbox Cosmetics Crystalized Collection was conceptualized based on, well, crystals! So it makes sense that all the packaging has that in mind. The highlighter & eyeshadow palette feature a textured crystal cover, while the liquid shadows feature a crystalized wand. It’s definitely one of the prettiest collections I’ve ever seen.
The Cover Shot: Crystalized Eye Palette ($35/Cdn) features 8 shades, with matte, metallic and foiled finishes. My favourite shades are Light Twerker (the brighter pink shade) and Mystic Opportunity (the grey-ish green). They’re all super pretty, but those add a unique pop of colour and shimmer and are unlike anything in my makeup collection. The Highlighter, called Opti-Mystic ($48/Cdn), is a warm peach iridescent, which is inspired by spirit quartz. It’s also unlike anything in my collection, look at this pop of pink below!
Up next in the Smashbox Cosmetics Crystalized Collection is the Crystalized Always On Liquid Eye Shadows ($35/Cdn). They come in 6 vivid metallic shades and feature the COOLEST wand I’ve ever seen in makeup history. From top to bottom below, the shades I received are: Bronzite Bruja, That’s Fire, 1-Rhodinite Stand. In the middle photo I’m wearing Bronzite Bruja, it’s such a pretty warm brown shade. These stay on ALL DAY, are easy to blend out and don’t flake or smudge. How can you not love the wands?!
I’m a huge lipgloss lover. Whenever I’m browsing Sephora, it’s usually for the newest lipgloss. I was super excited to receive three of the new Gloss Angeles Lip Glosses from the Smashbox Cosmetics Crystalized Collection, and in shades I knew I’d wear all summer! These glosses are very pigmented, not sticky and produce a high shine. They even feature hyaluronic acid and vitamin E, so they’re very, very comfortable and good for your lips. I can’t choose a favourite! Top to bottom of the swatches: Practical Magic, Ya Heal Me?, and Free Spirited. These retail for $24/Cdn.
Last, but certainly not least, are the primers! In my opinion, Smashbox kills it with their primers. One of my favourites is the Smashbox Photo Finish
The Photo Finish Primer Waters ($39/Cdn) feature new scents with the Smashbox Cosmetics Crystalized Collection. There is a pink one, called Love Ritual, which is jasmine and rose
The Crystalized Collection is 100% my favourite collection they’ve come out with in recent years. Not only are all the shades in my everyday makeup realm (I love shimmer & pink!), but the names and packaging mean something to me.
It may sound crazy, but I’ve spent the past year focusing on the power of positive intention and taken up astrology and crystals as a hobby. It’s something I’m really passionate about and feel connected to, and so this collection really speaks to me! I love when worlds collide, and the Smashbox Cosmetics Crystalized Collection took two of my passions and spit it out in a beautiful makeup collection.
A HUGE thank you to Smashbox Canada for sending this collection to me. I received these products as a PR package, but all thoughts are my own.
I love all of the products so much
