Tarte Creamy Matte Lip Paints: Product Review

My love for the Tarte Creamy Matte Lip Paints started earlier this year. I received a free sample of the shade Namaste, which I figured it would be too light for me, but ended up loving the formula and the shade looked great! I bought a full size Lip Paint at Gen Beauty back in May in the shade So Fetch, and the rest is history!

When I saw this set online, I knew I needed it! It is filled with lovely nude shades, but also a pop of red, and some colours that just aren’t in my collection yet: brown and deep purple! For $55/Cdn, you get 8 really lovely shades, and it comes in this cute packaging, that can be split up to give as gifts of 4, or all together! I think it really makes the perfect Christmas gift!

The Tarte Lip Paint formula is hands down my favourite of all the brands I’ve tried so far. It applies really smoothly, like a mousse, and remains creamy even once it’s “dried down.” I say that in quotes because it doesn’t really dry down for awhile, and feels extremely comfortable for hours! I love the way they last on my lips, although it doesn’t last through food or drink, I think the Tarte Lip Paints are perfect for the office so you don’t always feel like you need to touch up.

Out of the 8 shades, Spicy, Mani, and Perf are my favourites. Soul is a bit patchy and hard for me to work with, and Latte isn’t really my cup of tea. But the other 7 I have been getting tons of use out of, and I really love them! It’s nice to have a bunch of little sample sizes, to toss in your purse and be able to try out different colours!

Have you tried the Tarte Creamy Matte Lip Paints? Which is your favourite colour!

Iā€™m just winging it. My life, my eyeliner, everything!
