Too Faced Natural Eyes Shadow Palette: Product Review

Hi y’all! It’s the second week of 2017 and my goals of the year are going pretty well so far! How are yours? I’m keeping up with the gym and healthy eating. I’m excited to keep on track for the rest of the month (and year!) and not fall off the bandwagon! Now onto the goods..

I was lucky enough to be spoiled by my Mama and receive the Too Faced Natural Eyes Shadow Palette ($45/Cdn) for Christmas. I’ve been waiting a few weeks to review this product, as I of course had to test out the shades and come up with a few looks, and I’m finally ready to share with you!

Spoiler alert: I am loving this eyeshadow palette. It’s really compact, about the size of your palm, and comes in a really nice sturdy tin container, which is perfect for travel. The palette features 9 shadows – 4 matte and 5 shimmer, and is perfect for an everyday look to a full glam look! The shadows are very blendable and pigmented, just a small tap of the brush and you’re good to go. I’ve been using this for work days, as well as weekend nights, and it is treating me very well!

I love all of the shades in this palette. I am such a sucker for a light gold shimmer shadow, and this palette has THREE of these (Silk Teddy, Push-Up and Honey Pot). The colour Heaven is perfect for setting eyeshadow primer. Cashmere Bunny and Nudie are amazing crease/transition colours, and I love Sexpresso to deepen it up or run under the lower lash line. Lastly Chocolate Martini and Erotica are gorgeous chocolate browns with gold glitter in them, perfect for a sexy weekend look! Now onto my looks!

First look is my day-to-day look. I love putting concealer on my eyelids to even out my skin tone, and then setting with a matte white/cream colour. Heaven is the perfect matte shade, and I know I’ll be using this everyday! I love the way this look defines my eyes. I’ve been using Nudie or Cashmere Bunny (or a mix!) in the crease to give the look of putting in a ton of effort with my go-to work makeup, but realistically this takes 10 seconds!  Throw on some liquid liner and voila, you’re done!

Next up, I’m going to call this the next level day-to-day look. It’s very similar to the previous look, but instead of only adding a matte lid from Heaven, I’ve used Silk Teddy across the eyelid to add a pop of shimmer to the eye, and Cashmere Bunny under the lower lash line to define the bottom of my eye. This can transform the day-to-day look to a fun evening look (but lets be real, I would wear this anywhere!). Cashmere Bunny is in the crease with a little bit of Sexpresso to add definition!

This next one is a completely new look for me! I always see girls online doing “Cut Crease” eyeshadow looks, and I knew I could do it, just was hesitant to try! I figured what the heck and gave it a whirl with this palette! I started out by blending Nudie into the crease, then I took my concealer and applied with a flat definer brush over my eyelid to “cut the crease” then I set it with Heaven. Add in a matte black liner and this has a really funky 1960’s Mod look. I really loved it!!

Lastly, my New Year’s Eve glam. I was really proud of this look, I loved it SO much and couldn’t stop looking in the mirror at it. With this look, I started with my eyes before foundation, then took a wet makeup wipe to create that sharp outer line, then applied my foundation and concealer. Once I got to the end of the eyeshadow, I decided this look didn’t even need my signature matte black liner, just tossed on a pair of falsies, and the look was amazing! I started by setting my eyelid with Heaven and working Cashmere Bunny into the crease. I wanted this look to be a bit warmer, and this palette is cool toned, so I did get some help from a warmer brown shadow in a different palette in the crease. I then use Chocolate Martini in the outer V of my eye, and I sprayed some facial spray on a flat brush and dipped into Honey Pot for the inner 2/3rds of my eyelid. Wetting the brush helps create a foiled eyeshadow look and makes the gold pop even more! I ran Sexpresso under my lower lash line, tossed on my favourite false lashes and voila! I am in LOVE with this look and need to recreate again soon. It was the perfect glam for ringing in the new year!

That’s all for the Too Faced Natural Eyes Shadow Palette! I would 100% recommend adding this palette to your collection. The colours are amazing, its the perfect size for travel, and great for beginners or experienced makeup users!

What was your favourite look of mine? Tell me in the comments!

I’m just winging it. My life, my eyeliner, everything!
